Reset & restart

Explains how to reset and restart the device.

In exceptional cases, it may be necessary to reset an ANABOX® smart to its factory settings without using the app. This will delete all alarm times and settings from the device, and it will be turned off until it is activated again.

  • You have purchased a used ANABOX® smart that has not yet been reset, and you receive the error message Device is already registered, please reset during setup.
  • You no longer have access to your ANABOX® smart via the software and want to set it up again.

The ANABOX® smart must be charged. It is best to keep the device connected to power the entire time.

  • Hold down the große Taste. Simultaneously press the Reset-Loch briefly (1 second) with a pointed object.
  • Continue holding the große Taste until a short beep sounds and all LEDs light up for about 2 seconds. Now release the große Taste.
  • Now wait. The LEDs blink once per second.

The device is successfully erased when a signal sounds and all LEDs stop blinking. After the erasure process, the device is turned off until it is activated again.

Restarts the device and restores all states. During the restart, the Status LED first blinks blue (network search) and then white for some time (data exchange). When the restart is complete, the status LED goes out. The device can now be used normally again.

  • The device no longer responds or has an unexpected reaction.
  • A soft reset provides quick relief and solves the problem.

It is best to connect the device to the power supply first, to charge it. Press the Reset-Loch briefly (1 second) with a pointed object. The device will then restart for about 1 minute. During this time, the .

The device can be easily removed in the app and will also be reset to factory settings. After the device has been deactivated in the app, it signals this by beeping and then turns off until it is activated again.

  • You no longer want to use an ANABOX® smart, transfer it to another user, or resell it.

If the device no longer works due to an incorrect update or faulty transmission, or in other exceptional cases, the firmware can be reset. This process takes about 10 minutes. The firmware is reinstalled on the device, and the device is reset.

  • The ANABOX® smart no longer responds, and a restart does not help.

The ANABOX® smart must be charged. Keep the device connected to power throughout the process.

  • Hold down the große Taste. Simultaneously press the Reset-Loch briefly (1 second) with a pointed object.
  • Continue holding the große Taste until a short beep sounds and all LEDs light up for about 2 seconds.
  • Do not release the große Taste and continue pressing. After about 5 seconds, the device beeps 5 times. Now release the große Taste.

The device will now reset. The progress is indicated by the LEDs (they light up one after the other). Once the process is complete, the device restarts (all LEDs go out).
