Reset & restart

Explains how you can reset and restart the device

In exceptional cases, it may be necessary to perform a factory reset on an ANABOX® smart to its delivery state without having to go through the app. This will delete all alarm times and settings from the device, and it will then turn off until reactivated activation.

  • You have purchased a used ANABOX® smart that has not been reset, and you receive the error message Device is already registered, please reset during setup.
  • You no longer have access to your ANABOX® smart through the software and want to set it up again.

The ANABOX® smart must be charged. It is best to connect the device to power throughout the process.

  • Hold down the große Taste. At the same time, briefly press the Reset-Loch with a pointed object for (1 second).
  • Continue to hold the große Taste until a short beep sounds and all LEDs light up for about 2 seconds. Now release the große Taste.
  • Now wait. The LEDs blink once per second

The device is successfully deleted when a signal sounds and all LEDs no longer blink. After the deletion process, the device is turned off until reactivated activation.

Restarts the device and restores all states. During the restart, the Status LED first blinks blue (network search) and then white for some time (data exchange). When the restart is complete, the status LED goes out. The device can now be used normally again.

  • The device is not responding or has an unexpected reaction
  • A soft reset provides quick relief and solves the problem

If a wrong update or a faulty transmission occurs, or in other exceptional cases, causing the device to stop functioning, the firmware can be reset. This process takes about 10 minutes. The firmware is reinstalled on the device, and the device is reset.

  • The ANABOX® smart is not responding, and even a restart does not help.

The ANABOX® smart must be charged. Connect the device to power throughout the process.

  • Hold down the große Taste. At the same time, briefly press the Reset-Loch with a pointed object for (1 second).
  • Continue to hold the große Taste until a short beep sounds and all LEDs light up for about 2 seconds.
  • Do not release the große Taste and keep pressing. After about 5 seconds, the device beeps 5 times. Now release the große Taste.

The device is now resetting. The progress is indicated by the LEDs (they light up one after the other). Once the process is complete, the device restarts (all LEDs go out).
